Media Film Production Analysis

WWW: What went well in our short film production was things such as lighting shots and edits. For example, in our short film we including low key lighting, but not using any room lights but we used a phone flash light instead, which was shown at a low angle. This was effective as it focused on the face of an actor during the film, this also created a sense of mystery. We also used dialogue in our production which created engima codes, creating the audience to think about questions of what was going on at times. Also one of the actors pulled out something from their pocket which also created an engima code, as it left the audience thinking, what was pulled out of her pocket? We also cut the scene straight away which leaves the audience thinking and leaves it as a cliff hanger.

EBI: During the filming we made a few scenes faster for a better effect, we focused the camera on the shoes on an actor while he was running, but we later realized that it was not fast enough, the jump cuts also were not smooth so the end of each scene had a tiny bit running over.
